Nektarios Papagiannakopoulos

Nektarios  Papagiannakopoulos currently is Alternative Investments Head with Alpha Asset Management MFMC, since March 2024. He has over 20 years of experience in Investment Management, Equity Research and Investor Relations.

He previously worked as Chief Equity Analyst and Equity Long/Short Analyst with Hedge Funds operating in Athens, Greece (2012-2015 and 2018-2023). He joined leading teams that launched value-oriented strategies. He started as generalist responsible for stock-picking and he performed fundamental, bottom-up, research, with focus on Greek & global turnaround/value names.
He started his career in sell-side research on Greek equities in 1999 and he serviced global institutional desks for a cumulative total of 10 years; he covered Greek telecommunications and cyclicals across infrastructure & energy. He later transitioned into Investor Relations roles across energy (2017) and telecommunications (2006). 

He holds an MBA from ALBA Graduate Business School, a B.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from The American College of Greece-Deree College and a Certified Analyst qualification by the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission.
