Panagiotis Antonopoulos, Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Asset Management M.F.M.C., participated in the panel discussion entitled “The Climate Factor Redefining Investments and the Insurance Market”, within the framework of the 2nd International Conference “Redefining the Future Horizons: Designing Sustainable Strategies for Tomorrow”, organized by the Engineers and Public Works Contractors Fund (TMEDE)

During the discussion on the evolution of ESG investing and the impact of the international political environment on mutual fund management, he emphasized that the market is not abandoning sustainable investments. Instead, it is transitioning toward a more disciplined and measurable framework for project and risk assessment, with a strong focus on long-term investment security.

As he noted:
“The energy transition remains a stable pillar of the investment framework. What we are witnessing is not a retreat, but a shift toward more realistic timelines, with clear risk–return assessment and greater predictability for institutional investors.”

He also referred to international developments, particularly the political climate in the United States, noting that—despite short-term volatility—the European framework for sustainable investments remains robust, ensuring continuity in the financing of green projects and the effective implementation of ESG strategies by asset managers.

Alpha Asset Management M.F.M.C. continues to closely monitor international developments and to integrate these trends into the management of its mutual funds.
