Η Alpha Alpha Asset Management M.F.M.C. as Gold Sponsor of the IFFR Conference

Subject “Asset Management for Institutional Investors”

Alpha Asset Management M.F.M.C. participated as the Gold Sponsor of the “Asset Management for Institutional Investors” conference, an international event providing insights into the latest trends and developments in the management of institutional investments.
The conference was organised by the Institute of Finance and Financial Regulation (IFFR) and attracted a significant number of participants from abroad.
The event brought together leading academics and investment market professionals to discuss recent developments shaping best practices in the field of institutional investing.

Nektarios Papagiannakopoulos, Head of Alternative Investments at Alpha Asset Management M.F.M.C., participated as a speaker and panelist alongside industry professionals, addressing the latest trends in asset management under the theme “Advances in the Asset Management Industry”.

In his presentation, Mr. Papagiannakopoulos highlighted that the fundamental drivers behind investment decision-making remain unchanged in today’s environment of heightened volatility. He noted that potential negative impacts on investment portfolios are often driven by the high correlation across markets and the limited ability to achieve effective risk diversification.

At the same time, he underlined that uncertainty surrounding fiscal and monetary policies is increasingly leading investors towards non-traditional investments and so-called real assets. In this context, he emphasized the growing importance of alternative investments, which he described as institutionally established and operating as a complementary component to traditional portfolios.

Mr. Papagiannakopoulos stated: “Alternative assets, as an investment option, provide valuable diversification tools within the overall risk profile, provided that they are clearly aligned with investors’ risk tolerance and investment horizon.”
