Alpha Asset Management as Gold Sponsor at the 7th Occupational Retirement Provision Forum

With the participation of leading political and institutional speakers from Greece and abroad

The 7th Occupational Insurance Conference was successfully held with the participation of leading political and institutional speakers from Greece and abroad, with Alpha Asset Management M.F.M.C. participating as Gold Sponsor.

As part of the conference, our CEO, Panagiotis Antonopoulos, participated in a fireside chat with Panagiotis Th. Kapopoulos, Chief Economist and Head of Economic Research at Alpha Bank, on the topic “Greece 2030: Resilience, Savings and the Future of Pensions and Growth.”

The discussion highlighted critical dimensions for the next day of the Greek economy: the country’s resilience in the face of successive external shocks, the Greek paradox of high real estate wealth but low financial savings, the demographic pressures on the pension system, and the role of occupational pensions in financing growth.

Panagiotis Th. Kapopoulos underlined that the positive trajectory of the Greek economy is supported by stronger banks, fiscal discipline and the use of European funds, while also pointing to the need to channel savings into productive investment. In this context, the development of Occupational Pension Funds and the strengthening of the second and third pillars can contribute to the creation of domestic institutional investors, the deepening of the capital market, the financing of productive investments, and the enhancement of retirement adequacy through more diversified sources of income and greater risk diversification.
